A 1/10 buggy is about 400 mm (or 15 inches) long and clears a big triple in the region of ten meters. That's twenty-five body lengths, in the air, with all four wheels off the ground - and then it does it again forty seconds later.
Scale that up. A real car doing twenty-five of its own lengths would be flying a hundred meters or more. Nobody does that. The world record ramp jumps are once-in-a-career stunts with an ambulance parked at the end. RC racers do it every lap of every heat, and land it, and carry on racing.
That's why so much of Raw R/C is about what happens when the wheels aren't touching anything. Where the car points when it leaves the ramp, what the throttle does to its attitude in the air, whether it lands on the wheels or the nose, how the suspension takes the hit - in RC racing that isn't an occasional event, it's a substantial fraction of the lap.
