Time scales with the square root of size, the same as speed does. So a maneuver that would take a real car one second takes an RC car a third of that. A slide that a full-size driver has a full second to catch, you have 320 milliseconds to catch.

That is most of what makes RC racing hard, and all of what makes it look frantic. It isn't that the car is twitchy or badly behaved. It's that it's running a real car's physics on a clock spinning three times faster, from twenty meters away, seen from behind and from the side and head-on, changing every corner.

It's also why our simulation has to be as quick as it is. A physics engine that resolves a full-size car adequately is running three times too slow to resolve this one, before you've even started arguing about accuracy.
