If your controller is unusual, that's our problem, not yours.
Nobody should have to research whether their controller works before they can play. That's true generally, and it's especially true in RC, where "my controller" might be a two-stick gamepad, a wheel and pedals, a proper RC transmitter with a USB simulator cable, or one of the RC-receiver-to-USB dongles that presents itself to the computer in a format nobody documented.
Raw R/C handles all of it, including devices that don't identify themselves properly, and there's a guided wizard that walks you through teaching it your particular hardware: hold full throttle, click capture, hold full brake, click capture, steer left, steer right, done. It works out which control is which by itself and lets you correct it if it guesses wrong.
Take the thing you already race with and use it. That's the whole goal.
